Where They Live: Advertising Edition

When we first started The Lost Ogle, we figured that after a few months we would have Oklahoma City’s most prominent businesses flooding our gmail account in hopes of advertising on our website. For some reason, that has not yet happened.   Tony mentioned it is probably because we have burned our bridges.  Clark says it is because Oklahoma has bad roads and bridges.  I kind of agree with Tony.

That’s why in this edition of “Where They Live,” I figured I would highlight a few of our towns most notable advertisers for free.  That way, they can see that The Lost Ogle is actually a nice, pleasant place.  And maybe someday, they will like to advertise with us.

Bill Mathis
5200 Wisteria Dr
Oklahoma City, OK
73142

Appraised Value: 1,881,026

Honestly, I’m not sure which Mathis Brother this guy is.  Hell, he may not even be a Mathis Brother.  Maybe he is a Mathis Dad or a Mathis Cousin or Mathis Kid.  The one thing I do know is that he is a huge house in Gallardia.  With a crib like this, you would think he could afford to advertise futons or sofas on The Lost Ogle.  By doing that, sales would probably triple, and then they could maybe get rid of some of the vulture’ish sales people that they hire to stalk their customers.

Dr. John Belardo

House A

2400 Jessica Lane
Edmond, OK 73034
Appraised Value: $386,617

House B

1917 Preston Place
Edmond, OK 73013
Appraised Value: $506,166

Dr. Belardo has two nice houses, and if he combined them, he would nearly have a Mathis Brothers house.  Anyway, it seems like Dr. Belardo advertises everywhere and that he’ll give people free Lasik if they endorse him.  I know this, because in his newest radio commercial it’s mentioned that he performed Lasik on Byron Scott and Chris Paul’s family.  So I’ll just go ahead and say this in advance, Dr. Belardo kicks ass.  His Lasik stuff is the best, and once he performs my surgery, I’m going to see a bunch better.

Dr. John C. Hummel
10009 Hidden Hollow Ln.
Oklahoma City, OK 73151

Appraised Value: $621,183

If Dr. Bellardo is CVS, than Dr. Hummell is Walgreens.  It seems like every Dr. Belardo commercial featuring the Morning Animals is followed by a Dr. Hummell commercial with Jim Traber.   So if Dr. Belardo won’t accept our ringing endorsement, I’m sure Dr. Hummell will.  If that’s the case, then I’d like to say that when you see Dr. Hummell, you’ll see the best.  Get it.  See has more than one meaning.  Clever.

Damn, look at all those For Sale signs next door to Belardo’s House A. Is he really that bad of a neighbor?

“Dr. Hummell commercial with Jim Traber.” Let’s not forget about the other Hummell spokesman Joe Strunk. He now has better than 20-20 vision and owes it all to Dr. Hummell himself.

You guys need to do one of these posts on our TV people. Make sure you do Walter Kelly Ogle, Gary England, Rick Mitchell, and Dean Blevins, Alex Cameron, and whoever else you can think of. It’s an eye-opener.

Deuce, if you aren’t able to resolve your technical issues with posting a picture of Deano’s house can you at least confirm that he has a giant picture of Rafael Nadal covering the bottom of his swimming pool?
