I could care less about the Oklahoma Cavalry. I didn’t care when they were going to play here, and I didn’t care when I heard they were moving to Lawton. However, when I ran across this press release at OkieDoke, my curiosity in the CBA team, or better yet its employees, was sparked:
The Oklahoma Cavalry professional CBA basketball team has selected ten new members to the first-ever Cavs Dance Team in Lawton, Okla.
Choreographer/Coordinator Shelby McClure said she could not be happier with the outstanding ladies whom will represent the Cavs Dance Team this inaugural season.
“I am really excited to have the team in place,” McClure said. “Now we can focus in and start getting ready for the exhibition game and home-opener.”
The ten members of the 2007-08 Cavs Dance Team include Crystal Celsur, Allee Cox, Michelle Greear, Kristie Ihler, Jada Jedlicka, Natasha Mays, Cherisse Miller, Kassidy Skinner, Michelle Stewart and Eshell Williams.
Upon reading this, the following question popped in my mind:
“What in the world does a minor league basketball dance team from Lawton look like?”
Thanks to a great website named MySpace–and the stupidity of the Oklahoma Cavs for releasing the full names of the dance team members–my question did not go unanswered very long. After the jump, check out some pics of a few of the Cavs Dance Team members before the team releases their “official” photoshopped photos.
