Oklahoma Initiative Ideas: 40-31

40. Require that a comb, new set of clothes and list of “tornado survival talking points” be included in every public and private tornado shelter, helping ensure that tornado victims will be properly prepared to deal with the media.

This would help solve the image problem that our state suffers from whenever a tornado plows through one of our towns or farms or trailer parks. It would also set us apart from Kansas.

Meet Your “Oklahoma Cavs” Dance Team!

I could care less about the Oklahoma Cavalry. I didn’t care when they were going to play here, and I didn’t care when I heard they were moving to Lawton. However, when I ran across this press release at OkieDoke, my curiosity in the CBA team, or better yet its employees, was sparked:

The Oklahoma Cavalry professional CBA basketball team has selected ten new members to the first-ever Cavs Dance Team in Lawton, Okla.

Choreographer/Coordinator Shelby McClure said she could not be happier with the outstanding ladies whom will represent the Cavs Dance Team this inaugural season.

“I am really excited to have the team in place,” McClure said. “Now we can focus in and start getting ready for the exhibition game and home-opener.”

The ten members of the 2007-08 Cavs Dance Team include Crystal Celsur, Allee Cox, Michelle Greear, Kristie Ihler, Jada Jedlicka, Natasha Mays, Cherisse Miller, Kassidy Skinner, Michelle Stewart and Eshell Williams.

Upon reading this, the following question popped in my mind:

“What in the world does a minor league basketball dance team from Lawton look like?”

Thanks to a great website named MySpace–and the stupidity of the Oklahoma Cavs for releasing the full names of the dance team members–my question did not go unanswered very long. After the jump, check out some pics of a few of the Cavs Dance Team members before the team releases their “official” photoshopped photos.

I HEART Amy McRee & I STORM Gary England T-Shirts

The Lost Ogle T-Shirts

So, I had this idea to make these t-shirts. Sometimes I wish I had better ideas like how to stop world hunger or even how to make Jack and Ron funny, but when you’re blessed with the abilty to design cool t-shirts that maybe you and 50 other people on the Internet may get, you just go with it.

Anyway, I put these designs up on Zazzle.com. You can check them out (and a couple of TheLostOgle.com logo shirts) at Zazzle.com/thelostogle. I chose Zazzle over CafePress because Zazzle offered American Apparel tee’s, which are the most comfortable t-shirts ever. Of course if you don’t care how the shirts feel, you can choose different and cheaper styles.

Also, if you need to be reminded of the inspiration for one of the shirts. Check out our favorite anchorwomen and her pink bikini after the jump.
