I like Huckabee, anyone who has dealt with an administration is usually (not always) better qualified to run…
an ADMINISTRATION!!

He’s not gonna win since the GOP is divided. What I like from him is that he goes to liberal talk show and exposes his point not only to “Fox GOP news” and makes a lot of sense to me. Is about the issues not the party.

I also like Richardson, Dodd, and Bidden, obviously I’m not gonna get my wishes.

Great points by all, especially the message board thing. When you all get your way, I’ll be living in the underground shelter that they built during the “Red Scare” because that’s the only place I’ll be safe while martial law takes over when the skeleton government can’t control the serfs rising up against the feudal lords.

Great point. I think the conservative moniker began being used thanks to Reagan. Ford, Nixon, and Eisenhower’s regulatory policies were near socialistic. Reagan at least slowed the growth of the federal government.

Great government is less government, Clark. Those are the ideals of the Founding Fathers. We don’t need a welfare state, we don’t need socialized medicine, we don’t need our guns taken away. I’m better at protecting myself (more often than not) from the potential evils of “big business” than what the government has done. Less government truly is better government. I advocate cutting services as well.

And yes decades. Even when we had democrat majorities in the house, we have had Republican presidents that have signed, rather than vetoed, bills that were large increases in spending. If the republicans really cared about spending, they could have upheld any vetoes.

Besides, when is the last time the federal budget actually went down?

I’d love to have a great government and not have to pay a penny for it, as well. I’d also like to be able to get in great physical condition without having to exercise. We all have our dreams.
