The irony here is that I see these people’s posts defending The Daily Oklahoman, but all common sense tells me that if they can type and spell they would not like the very thing they are defending. One of life’s ironies.

And I agree that calling Carlson names is low class, but I saw just as many comments calling Rohde fat and no one defended his weight. That sexism, and thats just wrong.

John Rohde is a very, very nice person. Of the crowd he runs with, he is by far the nicest and down to earth. Has a great self deprecating sense of humor and I am very surprised by the negative comments. He is friends with Bill Self and other than Bill’s bad fake hair are there reasons to dislike Bill Self? He seems like a good guy. Humble at least.

And for all of you idiots who call Jenni Carlson fat and a bitch….you should know she is not fat, has a pretty flat ab area (which I sure most of you fat ass couch potatoes don’t have) and spends her time outside of work helping her community and her friends in any way she can.

Before you all dog Jenni for her apparent flaws, why don’t you take a good long look in the mirror….I’m sure most of you would soon realize you are pathetic losers who can barely make ends meet and spend your time insulting women who are career driven and successful because you are jealous.

Taking jabs at The Oklahoman is sort of the “progressive thinking” communities way of stickin’ it to da man. It’s a good example of what happens in a market where there is no real competition. Competition breeds excellence and innovation, with apoligies to all you socialists. When you remove competition, mediocrity is sure to follow. Best to just go with the flow, the Gaylords could care less. They simply sit in their tower, like Charles Montgomery Burns, and count their money.

I’ve never understood the criticism of the daily oklahoman and its writers. sure, it’s writers makes mistakes and aren’t perfect. but, who isn’t.

if they’re both as bad as people say, why do they still talk about them and reference articles/mistakes? you’re still reading the newspaper, right?

It seems as if bashing the oklahoman has become a rite of passage for some. yet, most of those people that lay out the criticism don’t seem to say why they are. too often people say “he’s a bad writer,” “that column sucked,” etc. and leave it at that. No one ever provides specific examples other than.

if you think the newspaper is that bad, stop reading and stop complaining.

The Dark Lords are not aware that a handicapped bathroom exists on the 4th floor here in the Dark Tower. We must rid ourselves of this useless amenity. Dark Tower employees do not use bathrooms and instead relieve themselves in buckets that we collect and later dump into Del City.

Rohde is also a bad dancer. I was at VeazeyDee’s many moons ago and he and his wife got up to dance. Being too kewl for such a public display of humiliation, I stood at the bar and started screaming: “ROHDE! GET OFF THE DANCE FLOOR!”
