Blake's knees were not the problem it was his head, also the main Willie problem was him and AJ's girlfriend not him being a freshman.

You fail at predicting stuff, but I give you credit for actually making predictions while I sat around being armchair point guard.

Last nite's game was fun to watch but it was almost deja vu all over again. Home team blows big lead, lets opposing team's superstar score at will but hangs on to barely win. However, it's early in the season and this could be a fun team to follow.

At least the crowd was loud. Hear that, Stoopsie?

You were right about the depth issue. There is a noticeable drop-off of talent on the bench - at the least, it's not top-25 talent. Some serious work needs to be done in terms of perimeter defense as well.

The refs decided to make some of their own halftime adjustments and call everything on the perimeter while Blake was getting the chocolate knocked out of him every time he was around the basket. (Hey, what would a sports comment be without some complaining about the refs?)

But last night's game was fun to watch and Sooner fans have a reason to be very optimistic about this team.

Remember all that stuff I said about Wille Warren. Forget it. He's the anti-James Anderson. When the competition improves, he steps up.

At OU, basketball is a sport that fills time between the end of football season and the beginning of spring football practice. I was a bb season ticketholder for many years but if you don't live in Norman or south OKC, those late midweek games can be a drag + I disliked Kelvin Sampson beyond description.

Being an old curmodgeon is about all I've got left to look forward to each day hence this attitude.

Were sports-blogging a viable career choice, I am afraid Patrick might be alone at TLO and our "snarky little social blog!" Clark's insightful and thorough sports analysis seems wasted on some of us! Not personally an OU fan, but I'll watch out for that Cowboy post Patrick.... Go Pokes!! I am happy to absorb any of Clark's views on our young Thunder though, especially if he agrees we need to can the Leprechaun (sp?) and get Avery Johnson to be our head coach!! (I KNOW Clay and Co. read this daily ;)
