Clark, if you stopped whining like an insolent child, Rick Mitchell wouldn’t have to treat you like one. I hope that the Lost series ends with all the people on the island dying from some tragic tornadic event that could have been easily avoided by an emergency broadcast, just to spike all you you.

i feel you clark. i felt this same way a few weeks ago with the 3 fires that were in Midwest City.

it was a Thursday night, which is 30 Rock and The Office night, both of which are the only 2 TV shows that i regularly watch. the fact that i was watching them on Thursday shows how excited i was that week, as i usually DVR them and watch them on the weekend.

but to my ailing surprise, i had to sit there and watch the giant head of an Ogle for 2 hours while he commented on the same 90 seconds of video of house fires over and over.

the fact that i live in south OKC and these things were in midwest city isn’t what chapped my ass. what pissed me off is that they were doing this over 3 house fires! who were they trying to save? it’s not like weather, where you can’t see it in the dark and where it can be traveling at 40 mph! if people are too dumb to look outside and see if a raging fire is swallowing up all of the houses on their block, and that maybe they should leave, then they deserve to go, and i deserve to watch 30 Rock on Thursdays.

There’s an easy solution for this with the digital transition (finally) coming. Why not just switch the original programming over to the secondary, dedicated weather channel while Mike/Gary/Rick pontificates? While I’m not sure this would help satellite customers, it’d be better than nothing.

BTW, quote last night on KOCO from Rusty: “Rick, we’ve lost the donut hole.”
