Contest! Send us your Oklahoma State Fair pictures!

September marks the beginning of many things in Oklahoma.  School starts, football season begins, and for 10 days, the world's largest white trash festival takes place in the heart of Oklahoma City.  We call this festival the Oklahoma State Fair.

This year, we are once again encouraging our loyal Lost Ogle readers to submit photographs that help summarize (and describe) this mecca of rednecks, methamphetamine and fried everything.  Whoever submits the best overall picture, which will be determined by Lost Ogle readers, will win a Lost Ogle T-shirt and a $50 Gift Card to a local restaurant.  We are not yet sure which restaurant this will be, but hopefully it will be a good one. (Hint Hint: If you are a local restaurateur and want to sponsor this contest, send us an email.)

Anyway, to get a good feel as to the type of photographs we are looking for, please take a look at last year's finalists.  To put it in perspective, the winning picture was of a pregnant woman smoking a cigarette.  You can also look at what happened when we held the contest two years ago.  We were tricked, but as Stoops would say, we were tricked in a very good way.
