You may have noticed that we stopped posting our Saturday Morning 1990's Music Videos series this year. Actually, when you consider the amount of views those posts received, you probably haven't noticed.
Anyway, I'm posting a special video this morning to remind everyone to go to Guinness.com and pledge to attend the world’s largest St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. It takes about 30-seconds and this is what you have to do:
1. Go the Guinness.com, enter your birthday, and click the "Count Me In" Button.
2. Enter your Name, Zip Code and (this is important) the word "Ogle" for your promotional code.
3. Click the "Join Now" button and then move along with the rest of your day.
I'm asking you to do this for several reasons. One of them is the I love Guinness. It really is one of my favorite beers. It's dark, heavy, semi-sweet and, yeah, that kind of sounds dirty. But seriously, Guinness is awesome. Drink it. It's even better when served by the blonde bartender with big boobs at McNellies.
Another reason we're doing this is that we're in a national contest with 49 other obscure local social blogs. The top three blogs/bloggers — there's one from each state — win a trip to Ireland in September for the annual Guinness birthday party. Right now we're about 100 pledges off the lead, so be a good Ogle Mole and help us out. Cardboard Jim's never been to Ireland, and this may be his only chance to see a leprechaun. Do it for him.
