The happy couple pictured above is Patricia and Misty Spann. Because we now live in a fair and free society where two people who love each other can get married regardless of their sexual orientation or gender, the couple got hitched in March. The only problem was that they're also mother and daughter, so it's still illegal and immoral.

A mother and daughter from Oklahoma are accused of having an incestuous marriage.
Patricia Spann, 43, and Misty Spann, 25, were married in March 2016 in Comanche County, court records show.
Police say Patricia is Misty’s biological mother.
Investigators with the Department of Human Services discovered the illegal relationship in August while investigating the children who were inside the Spanns’ home.
Listen, incest isn't my thing. Like most people, I think it's gross and disgusting. I've never forgiven the Lannisters for it, and I'm very worried Jon Snow and Sansa hook up in Season 7. That being said, I also like to be consistent on issues. If two legal aged-adults love each other and want to get married, why can't they? As long as they don't hurt anyone else, who really cares? It's their life, their body and their eyes that are going to see all the strange looks the next time they share a banana split at Braum's. Plus, as Gandhi once said, "Incest is better than no cest."
Misty and her two brothers were raised by a grandparent when Patricia lost custody of them, an arrest affidavit states.
The DHS investigator told authorities that Patricia and Misty reunited two years ago.
Patricia told officials she didn’t think she was breaking any laws by marrying Misty because her name is no longer listed on her daughter’s birth certificate.
A warrant was issued for their arrests on Friday.
Since then, Patricia and Misty have both been arrested and booked into the Stephens County Jail for incest, a detective told KFOR.
Seriously, they threw Patricia and Misty in jail? Once again, incest is creepy and gross, but that seems extreme. It's a victimless crime, and based on the mental capacity of some rural Oklahomans, a pretty common one.
Also, has anyone considered the possibility that they got married so Misty could stay on her mom's insurance? She does turn 27 in a year or two. That should totally be the plot of the Melissa McCarthy / Kristen Wiig reboot of "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry."
Court records show this isn’t the first time Patricia has married one of her own children.
She also married one of her sons in 2008.
However, court records show that marriage was annulled in March 2010.
So, she's also been married to her son? Talk about a close family, they should shoo-ins for the next Family Feud incest week.
