We’re getting a late start this morning, but we have good reason. You see, I’m currently at the hospital awaiting the arrival of Clark, JrJr. Patrick apparently started celebrating his arrival early because he sent me an email at 2:30 asking me to finish off this post and get it online. Don’t ever let me hear you say I’m not dedicated to you readers. Before Mrs. Matthews kills me, I’m going to throw it to the voting.

As you surely know by now, we organized Oklahoma City’s first ever Snuggie Pub Crawl last Saturday night. The crawl started Edna’s, then crossed the street to the Drunken Fry, and ended at the Speakeasy. In all, we estimate about 200-300 people cuddled up in the “blanket with sleeves” participated in the event.
At the end of the night — after we gave away a $1,500 diamond — we brought out Oklahoma City’s favorite cardboard cutout decided to crash the festivities. His name is Cardboard Jim Traber. Check out pictures from his travels after the jump.

I think it’s safe to say the 2009 Norman Music Festival was hit. Attendance exceeded expectations, the weather was perfect, we had press passes, and for the second year in a row, Cardboard Jim took to the streets and mingled with the crowd. This time around, he also brought his friend and colleague Cardboard Cornett. Yes…it was a cardboard extravaganza.
After the jump, check out a bunch of the pictures we took of Jim with the hippies, hot chicks, shirtless boys and chicks from Wimgo that the mean Wimgo guy told us not to take pictures with. Be warned that since there are a bunch of images, it may take a while to load. Enjoy.

We’ve had upsets (Lee Symcox over Berry Tramel), we’ve had a blowouts (Kristen Chenoweth over Jenni Carlson), and we’ve had nail-biters (Brandon Chatmon over Toby Keith). We’ve also had controversy (somebody tried to vote for Steve Lackmeyer a few hundred times.) Through it all, we are now down to just 32 Oklahoma “Celebrities” battling for the right to be Ogle Madness II Champion. To view an updated PDF of the Ogle Madness II bracket, click here. To view past results, search through the Ogle Madness II category.
Anyway, today’s games are from the Second Round of the East Regional. They will be played in Wilburton at the Robbers Cave State Park & Lodge, and the Mountain Vista Cabin near Beavers Bend State Park. The match-ups are below. Vote after the jump.
(1) Gary England vs. (9) Toby Rowland
(4) Carrie Underwood vs. (5) Mark Rodgers

This past Saturday, over 20,000 people crammed the Midtown and Downtown streets to celebrate an early Halloween at the 2nd annual Ghouls Gone Wild Parade, which has quickly become one of the city’s premier events.
Mixed in with all the parade watchers, flaming skeletons and costumed revelers was Oklahoma City’s favorite cardboard cut-out, Mr. Carboard Jim Traber, who decided he would dress up as Brent Skarky attending a fetish ball. And just like he did at my party and at the Norman Music Festival, Cardboard Jim totally stole the show (or at least attempted to). And unlike his visit to the Oklahoma City Gay Pride Festival, he was not not nearly attacked by a militant lesbian.
Anyway, after the jump check out a bunch of the pictures we took of Jim with people at the parade. Be warned that since there are a bunch of images, it may take a while to load.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it is time yet again for deep-fried snickers, goat shows, and frightening carnies. The State Fair of Oklahoma starts today.
Last year, we asked our readers to provide us with some fun pictures taken at the fair. We were hoping to find the most hilarious and absurd pictures of the toothless, hairy, and hungry that usually congregate at the State Fair. While we had a semi-decent response, we were very disappointed to discover that the winning picture was a hoax.
This year, with many more readers, we expect even higher-quality pictures from the fair. You don’t have to resort to trickery or shenanigans, just take some funny, real pictures at the fair and e-mail them to us at thelostogle @ gmail.com. Maybe the best picture will win a prize. Or maybe not.
Also, Cardboard Jim has been begging us to take him to the fair. He hasn’t been out in a while, and is getting pretty restless. If you know of a way we can sneak him into the fair to mingle with the masses, e-mail us. If you can manage that, you will definitely win a prize.
