What’s up, amorous readers? Let’s chat for a moment about this weekend. As I’m sure you know, Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. And I think you should know that as I’m writing this, I’ve had 4 gin and tonics, one dirty martini (with gin, not vodka you lame asses), a whickle (shot of whiskey chased with pickle juice) a Dogzilla IPA and finally the Great Divide Yeti Bourbon Barrel Porter. Sooooooo, let it be known that nothing in this post is gonna be coherent. And I don’t care. If you don’t have plans for Valentine’s Day already your screwed and I think you’re a shitty significant other. This blog isn’t gonna help you out. So there.
Here’s your Friday Night in the Big Town.
Okay. Here’s the thing about Styx. I always confuse them with Kansas. I don’t know why. I think it’s because my body is just always ready to shout “carry on my wayward son.” No reason, just for funsies. But don’t worry. I ‘ve seen that movie Big Daddy and I know that Adam Sandler’s character says that Styx is the most underrated Amerian rockband.
I disagree with that. I think it’s The Hold Steady or possibly even Against Me! But who am I to argue with an Adam Sandler character? I mean, that “Mr. Roboto” song was life-altering, right?
Fun fact: Less Than Jake is probably my favorite band of all time. For reals. I have all their records, and my love of them goes back to my days at Sequoyah Middle School. So, is it any surprise to anyone that my significant other and I are making our way to Tulsa this Sunday to see them.
Little bonus: Red City Radio is opening for them. Yeah, I’m stoked for that. Basically, I’m gonna get super wasted at this show, listen to Less Than Jake songs I’ve loved for the majority of my life and just have a general good time. I’m also gonna listen to Red City Radio play some music. If you havent’ seen the video for their song “Spinning in Circles is a Gateway Drug” you’re missing out.
February 14: Get your bone on
Alright, I know that every single person hates Valentine’s Day. I know this because this is my first Valentine’s Day to be in a relationship. But people in relationships are engaging in multiple types of sexes. So you single kids might as well too.
What I’m saying here is that single kids have as good a chance of getting their bone on as kids in a relationship. You just gotta put yourself out their.
So if your single, go to a bar and hit on someone. Then get laid. If you’re in a relationship, depending upon what role you occupy in the relationship, you should either take someone out to dinner or buy a sexy costume for later. Either way, you amorous readers should have yourselves a good time. Seriously.
That’s all for now, amorous readers. I can’t be held responsible for babies conceived this weekend, so please practice safe sex. I love you all and have a good weekend.
