It's been a while since we've written anything about OKC media personality Lacey Lett. This is because she dated Brent Skarky, moved to Tulsa, and stopped sending us Braum's e-postcards when they redesigned their website.

Well, it looks like we have an excuse to write about Lacey again. Over the past year, she's split up with Skarky, moved back to Oklahoma City and is now working as a part-time reporter for KFOR Channel 4. Plus, she's being inducted into the Oklahoma City Community College Alumni Hall of Fame later tonight.

Yeah, you read that right. Oklahoma City Community College has an Alumni Hall of Fame. Check out the rest of this year's class. It's a who's-who list of people who probably want you to pick up the tab the next time you go to lunch.

From the OCCC website:

In a ceremony to be held Tuesday, Nov. 19, Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) will add nine distinguished college alumni to its growing list of honored Hall of Fame inductees. Seven men and two women were selected this year. The event will be held on the OCCC campus at 6:30 in the evening.

The 2013 honorees hold positions in sales, newspaper publishing, health professions, communications, college teaching, online publishing, corporate public affairs, and community activism; all began their education at OCCC

The 2013 Alumni Hall of Fame inductees are:

Tony Arango – New Systems Sales – TRANE, Inc.

Steve Coulter – Owner/Publisher – Mustang Times, Minco-Union City Times, Tuttle Times and the Choctaw Times

Robert Frantz, Jr. – Division President, Team Health Mid-America

Lacey Lett – TV and Digital Communications anchor/host/reporter

Sean Lynch – FVP Equipment Coordinator, Adjunct Professor – OCCC

Jennifer Peters – Professor of Nursing – OCCC

David Puente – Retired Dept. of Corrections, Community Volunteer

Patrick Riley – Owner/Publisher – TheLostOgle.com

Mike Thompson – Director of Government and Public Affairs – BP America

The Alumni Hall of Fame is a prestigious annual award that recognizes a select group of former students, showcasing their career and civic accomplishments over the years. Hear their stories at the 2013 banquet held in the College Union on the campus of OCCC, 7777 South May Avenue.

That's awesome. According to Skip Bayless, making the Hall is almost as cool as being named the captain of your JV basketball team. It's a special honor reserved for only the highest-achieving underachievers in the metro.

Okay, I'm just teasing. I'm sure Lacey and the rest of the inductees are very proud. Making the Oklahoma City Community College Alumni Hall of Fame is a big deal. To even qualify, you have to take the ACT and have a high school diploma or GED. That's harder than it sounds. Plus, this is THE Oklahoma City Community College we're talking about. In addition to having a huge swimming pool, it's pretty much the best JUCO in the state. It is nicknamed "Harvard on May" for a reason other than sarcasm. Well, at least I think it is. Regardless, Harvard on May is way better than whatever they call OSU-OKC or Rose State. I think they are nicknamed "Sad" and "Sadder."

Anyway, congrats to this year's Oklahoma City Community College Alumni Hall of Fame inductees. Have fun deciding on whether or not to put this on your resume.
