I guess it's time to solidify our status as an online tabloid.

Back in May, we told you about G. Edward Evans – a prominent Oklahoma businessman and former co-owner of the Oklahoma City Thunder – suing his ex-finance Jennifer Saba to get back a $75,000 engagement ring.

It was the classic "He said, She said." He asked her to marry him. She said "Yes." He dumped her and asked her to return the ring. She said "no."

This is what we had to say at the time:

I’ve had some pretty glorious break ups in my life. My favorite was the time my ex-wife changed all the locks on our house, which led to me having to break into my house in order to temporarily move out of my house, so I know how petty and personal break ups can get. That being said, this dude needs to grow up. He’s an affluent, multi-millionaire. Move on with your life and let the woman keep the ring. It’s the cost of doing business.

Well, it looks Mr. Evans should have followed this blogger's advice.

Last week, Saba filed a massive counterclaim against Evans in Oklahoma County court seeking more than $75,000 in damages. It's a doozy. She claims the break-up was spurred by arguments over Internet porn. She also makes some very serious abuse accusations, including...

Wow. Gaslighting? Waterboarding? Controlling the thermostat remotely? Those are some brutal, very serious allegations. If Evans isn't careful, he may wind up with a high-profile position in the Trump administration.

For what it's worth, Evans' attorneys did file a motion to strike the counterclaim last week. We'll update it when it becomes available...
