Richardson Homes guy indicted on conspiracy and theft charges..

2:31 PM EST on March 8, 2017

It looks like Richardson Homes may be looking for a new tagline... and name... and president.

Earlier today, reports came out that Dennis Lee, the president and kind-of-creepy spokesperson for annoying local TV advertiser Richardson Homes, was indicted for his role in a conspiracy to sell tractors, ATVs, lawn mowers and other redneck collectables that were stolen from out-of-state.

KFOR has the details:

Six people around the metro, including a prominent home builder, have been indicted in a case regarding a conspiracy to sell stolen property from other states.

On Jan. 18, 35-year-old Amanda Czermak was charged with one count of conspiracy to steal motorized vehicles and equipment from surrounding states to be ‘fenced’ for resale in Oklahoma.

On Wednesday, a superseding indictment added five other defendants to the case: 26-year-old Dakotah Henderson, 30-year-old Dakota Epperly, 43-year-old Dennis Lee, 28-year-old Auston Slater and 66-year-old David Aduddell.

The indictment alleges that Czermak and Henderson stole property such as tractors, golf carts, ATVs, utility task vehicles, rough terrain vehicles and zero-turn lawn mowers from other states and brought the stolen property to Oklahoma.

Prosecutors allege that the pair was planning to ‘fence’ the stolen property through other conspirators from February of 2016 through Aug. 26, 2016.

During the course of the conspiracy, officials allege that Czermak and Henderson transported the stolen property to Lee’s business, Richardson Homes, LLC.

I'll be honest with you. This is kind of surprising. I would have guessed Paulette from 1.800.2SellHomes would have been the first annoying commercial person to get indicted on conspiracy charges. The Richardson Homes guy would have been third or fourth on the list, probably after Rob Stanley and Gentry from Hahn's.

Then again, I also had no clue Mr. Mumbles was a convicted felon...

Lee is charged with conspiracy to transport stolen goods in interstate commerce, possession of stolen property which crossed interstate boundaries and illegal possession of 18 firearms as a previously convicted felon.

Well, I guess that explains the prison haircut.

Anyway, I have no clue what this means for people who for some reason own a Richardson Home. If I were you, I'd remove the serial numbers from your appliances and make sure there's not a Korean exchange student living in your walls.

I also have no clue what this means for the future of the company, but you can tell the local TV media wants Richardson Home's to stay alive and to continue flooding the market with TV ads featuring people who don't talk all that well. For some reason, they omitted the clickiest part of this article – Richardson Homes – from headlines:

I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
