McGuinness High School yearbook includes Anne Frank, Hitler quotes on same page…

Late last night, an Ogle Mole emailed us a scan from the 2017 Bishop McGuinness High School yearbook. It's the fancy private school located on N. Western. If you remember correctly, their students read this site.

The scan was of a page that contained a couple of senior photos, along with some corresponding inspirational quotes. Here's the first one we received. I've hidden the student's identity because she's a high school student:

That's nice. Great selection on the quote! I think the Diary of Anne Frank is the most profound and powerful work from the 20th century. It should be required reading for every American, especially the president.

Now check out the photo and quote located directly below:

Whoa! She went with a Hitler quote? Seriously? Could she not find a better one by Osama Bin Laden or Tim McVeigh? What the hell is she doing?!

As I mentioned, these quotes and photos are stacked on top of each other.

If you're like me, you probably have some questions about this. The first one is pretty simple – What The Fuck? Did the students team up on his to make some profound, hard-to-get statement regarding the stark contrast of good and evil and the modern authoritarianism sweeping the globe? Was it a tasteless inside joke gone wrong? Did they give students from the Aryan Brotherhood Youth Association final editing privileges?

From what I've heard from Moles, the whole thing appears to be a case of foolishness and tasteless idiocracy. According to one Mole, the school apologized at the graduation robing ceremony and will be providing stickers to students to cover up the quote. Like that will happen.

Anyway, I called Bishop McGuinness to ask some questions, verify things, and perhaps most importantly, figure out how the school's administration could let a quote from Hitler sneak into the high school yearbook. After speaking to a couple of people at the school, I was transferred to the chancellor or whatever. I left a voicemail and we're awaiting his call. We, and now probably the legitimate media, will have more on this story as it develops.

Update #1: We never heard anything back, but here's a letter that's apparently from Bishop McGuinness president David Morton...

Update #2: An an earlier version of this post, we reported an Ogle Mole tip that one of the girls was jewish. We're now hearing conflicting reports, so we took out that blurb.
