5 Adoptable Dogs Enjoying the Fassler Hall Patio

If you exclude sports and other people, my three favorite things in life are dogs, beer and patios. That's probably why I have two adopted dogs (Simon and Lexi above), drink a lot of beer, and use the handle Patios Patrick whenever I play Fortnite.

It's also probably why I didn't turn down the opportunity to tell you about five adoptable dogs from the Bella Foundation enjoying a beautiful Friday afternoon on Fassler Hall's* dog-friendly patio. It's the best patio in town. It's large, has plenty of fun activities, and is the perfect place for you and your dog to enjoy Oklahoma's unpredictable weather.

You can meet the five dogs below. If you want to welcome one into your family, just contact the Bella Foundation and complete an application. Also, big thanks to Drew Edington for the photography.

1. Buster

Buster is a 10-year-old Bichon Frise. He was given to Bella after his owner experienced some devastating life circumstances. Buster's a sweet little guy and still very active for an older dude. Like most Bichons, he loves people, other dogs and to be petted and cuddled. You'll win good karma for life if you adopt a guy like Buster into your family.

2. Sadie

Just like people, some dogs need an extra level of love and attention. Sadie is one of those dogs. She has a spine injury that requires some care (but she walks and moves just fine). She also has a small bladder that requires frequent trips outside (but she's diaper trained for when that's not possible). If that's okay with you (and you really love doggie kisses), Sadie is totally worth it. She's a wonderful dog who simply requires a few scheduled needs from whoever adopts her. She'd be an incredible addition to someone's family.

3. Hero

Hero is a survivor. He came to Bella as an 8-week-old, found near-death and abandoned in a rural area with his siblings. After being nursed back to health by the staff at Woodlake Animal Hospital, he's now ready for adoption. He's an active guy and definitely still has some puppy in him. He looks at everything with bewilderment and surprise, like he just discovered an endless supply of rawhides and cheese slices.

-

Champ

-

Champ is a 5-year-old pit bull who, sadly, lived his entire life tethered to a chain in near total isolation. Now, after being freed and rescued, he's being reintroduced to the world and learning how to enjoy life as a dog with his foster family. He's great with people (but not so much with other dogs), and although he still requires some attention and activity, he'll do whatever it takes to be a man's – or woman's – best friend.

-

Nikki

Nikki is a bull terrier mix. She's a distant cousin of Spuds Mackenzie, which explains why she likes pool parties, the beach and cheap disgusting beer.

In all seriousness, Nikki is like any all-American dog. She enjoys long walks, chew toys and treats. A sweet little diva at heart, Nikki is still trying to understand why you would want give attention to any dog other than her. As a result, she'd probably work best in a single dog home, or with a big, submissive playful dog who will let her rule the roost.

Once again, if you're interested in adopting any of these five dogs, contact Bella Foundation today. Adopt a dog. They are awesome.
