The Pioneer Woman To Open Her Home To The Common Folk

1:10 PM EST on February 24, 2020

From the Blue Whale and various Route 66 museums, to Eischen’s and the grave of the horse who allegedly played Mr. Ed on TV, Oklahoma is a hotspot for nifty and quirky day trip destinations. The Lodge at Drummond Ranch—the homestead of Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond where she films her Food Network TV show and creates enough butter-based atrocities to make God regret giving man the cow—is one such place that is usually off limits to the peasants general public. Thankfully, Ree’s floral tunic-wearing fans will no longer have to rely on their sangria dreams or basic cable television to get a glimpse into the famous home.

Via KOCO (and KFOR and KJRH)…

PAWHUSKA, Okla. —

On select dates throughout the year, you can visit The Lodge on the Pioneer Woman’s ranch for free.

Ree and Ladd Drummond invite visitors to tour The Lodge on Drummond Ranch, which is their family guest house and it also serves as the production location for Ree's Food Network show.

Hot damn! It’s about time Pawhuska got its own tourist attraction. If the Drummonds had never opened up shop in the sleepy town, there’d be nothing to do there but visit the oldest tribally owned museum in the nation or a nature preserve that gives a glimpse of what our state looked like before we gutted it in exchange for oil rigs and eclectic “mercantiles.” So how do you get the privilege of visiting the ranch, anyway?

Tickets are required for The Lodge tours. Visitors must go to The Mercantile the day of the Lodge tour in order to receive the Lodge ticket/directions (one ticket per group.)

Tickets are free and are good only for that day's date. Tickets are not available in advance. There is no limit to the number of tickets available on tour dates.

The Lodge will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the open dates. Visitors may ask a Mercantile employee for a ticket and directions when they arrive that day.

Thankfully, there are still a few dozen days left to scope out the Lodge before it closes for the season. But don’t worry, if you don’t find the time to take your mom on a day trip before the final weekend in July, I’m sure she won't write you out of the will.

Hayley will probably have to take her mom. Follow her on twitter @squirrellygeek
