After consulting with our venue partners – and out of concern for the safety of our players, event hosts and restaurant staffs – we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel all Lost Ogle Trivia and Bingo events indefinitely to help prepare for the impending fall of civilized human society.
Sure, the Covid-19 pandemic is front and center on everyone’s minds, with federal, state and local governments declaring health emergencies, encouraging social distancing, and banning events and group gatherings, but let’s not forget the real danger – civilized human society is in the throes of its final days, and we will all soon be living in a lawless, plague-infested world where the few remaining survivors scavenge for resources while hiding from vagabond bands of pirates and cannibals.
Or something like that.
Anyway, while we’re on break stocking our survival bunkers with toilet paper, sanitizer solution and Anthem beer, we’re going to live-stream Lost Ogle Trivia on Twitter and Facebook for everyone who’s stuck at home dealing with cabin fever, and / or clinging to life while waiting for a respirator at a temporary hospital at the State Fairgrounds. More details on those events, and how they will work, will be announced very soon.
In the meantime, we encourage everyone to stay safe, enjoy some time inside, and wash your hands. If and when it’s ever okay for people to gather in groups again with friends, and answer trivia questions for prizes while enjoying delicious food and drink at local bars and restaurants, we’ll be the first to let you know.
p.s. – In all seriousness, we’d like to thank to all of our trivia players, venues and sponsors for their support and patronage. Although it sucks, cancelling bar events is the right thing to do. We hope to see you again soon once human civilization gets the green light to continue.
