If you check the site daily, or follow us on social media, you won't need a membership to read most of our stuff. That being, some exclusive and original content will be available to members/subscribers only.
We've reluctantly made this change for a variety of reasons, with the most important being this – The Lost Ogle – like most publications – can no longer depend on a 100% ad-supported model to make money and fund our operations.
I could write 100 pages detailing all the reasons why that's the case, but I'm going to be positive and say this instead...
Having a subscriber/membership base helps us maintain our independence, gives us more freedom and flexibility on what we cover, helps connect and interact with our most loyal readers, and give us more resources to provide more content and do new things. Hell, maybe we'll even hire a proofreader. You never know.
