Joe Exotic to (Probably) Release a Tell-All Book!

9:16 AM EST on March 8, 2021

As Joe Exotic, the Tiger King, and his well-earned notoriety tick on the fourteenth minute of his Warholian fame, even from prison he’s making sure to cash in on every minute, now by releasing a tell-all book about his life, his loves, his explosive personality and, best of all, his tigers. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

Entitled Tiger King: The Official Tell-All Memoir, I’m not sure what tell-all tales the tome will exactly entail, but with him knee-deep in his jail-time time and obviously good behavior, one thing you can bet is the book will be full of fur-covered finger-pointing, sharp-toothed political intrigue and lion roars for his freedom, as well it should. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

From Microsoft News (by way of KOKH):

“Joe pulls back the curtain on the man behind the headlines," said a letter from the publisher. "From a tragic childhood riddled with abuse to his dangerous feuds with big cat rivals and beyond, nothing is off the table.”

While, honestly, if I ever expected Exotic to write a book I truly expected something more along the lines of an independent comic book, a young adult sci-fi novel or, Lord I wish, a return to the Choose Your Own Adventures that’ll lead me turning to page 53 to escape a jungle beast’s clutches, this autobiography seems to promise an inside story to the greatest tale (tail?) to come out of Oklahoma in the past decade. At least that’s what I’m hoping.

Once the book hits store shelves on November 9th—if it ever hits store shelves, that is—you can be sure I’ll purchase a dry-tongued copy and give his many tiger minions and likewise readers here that can’t afford the book or, more likely, just don’t bother to read, a complete rundown of his adventures, loves and battle over big cats. At least, of course, that what I’m hoping.

But, chances are, we'll all be sick of him by then and those fifteen minutes will finally be up.
