The Lost Ogle would like to send our sincere condolences and best wishes to News 9 Chief Meteorological Fearmonger David Payne after he was attacked by a 3D Severe Weather Dong during Wednesday night's severe weather live theatre.
Here's a photo of the incident via Reddit:
We checked with News 9 and David is at home recovering from the incident. I asked for his home address so I could send him a Patricia's care package, but the receptionist wouldn't give it to me.
As far as severe weather dongs go, this one is an instant classic. It stands on the same upright pedestal as these classics:
The Lost Ogle would like to wish happy trails to soon-to-be-former Chesapeake CEO Doug Lawler.
After a solid eight-year run where he kept the company alive just long enough to restructure its debts, sell its assets and lay off most of its employees before filing bankruptcy, it was recently announced that today is his last day as CEO.
I'm not smart enough to know if Doug did a good job as a CEO, but considering the Chesapeake he inherited was more of a sophisticated debt-fueled Ponzi scheme than a legit energy company, I guess he should get some praise for keeping the company afloat as long as he did, and earning millions and millions and millions of dollars for himself in the process.
To both honor and remember Mr. Lawler, I thought it would be fun to look at some of his accomplishments as CEO. Here they are:
State Rep. Justin Humphrey – the Grand Wizard of the Derplahoman Party – is back in the news after he compared Black Lives Matter to the KKK while debating draconian legislation on the Oklahoma House floor.
Yep, that’s right. The skilled thinker and orator from Lane who once referred to women as fetal-carrying “hosts” (and also proposed a hunting season for mythological creatures) compared Black Lives Matter to the KKK.
The comments occurred when Humphrey was using his bruised and battered brain to debate right wing legislation that would prohibit state colleges and universities from requiring gender or sexual diversity training, and prohibit teachers from having honest and open discussions about race in America.
