Kevin Stitt buys Edmond mansion for $2.75-million…

3:18 PM EDT on September 9, 2021

Yesterday afternoon, we broke the "exclusive" story that Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt recently put his super-sized Tulsa McMansion on the market for $4.5-million (o.b.o).

The regal estate has seven bedrooms, six bathrooms and even a giant firepit centered around a cross for holy smores, animal sacrifices, and who knows what other late-night rituals.

Just minutes after the story dropped, the Ogle Mole Network lit up with dispatches informing us that the Stitt family recently paid $2.7-million for an Edmond mansion that was previously owned by former PGA golf pro Scott Verplank.

Yep, that's right. $2.7 million. Hopefully, Stitt was able to put at least 20% down, because the PMI on that would be outrageous!

As we mentioned previously, Stitt is living in a private residence because the Oklahoma Governor's mansion – like most properties that had trailers parked in the yard – was dilapidated and in need of repairs. You can't blame Stitt and Co. for the decision. If you were rich enough to afford your own mansion, you'd probably rather live in it than public housing.

Located on N. Waterloo Rd. in the affluent Oak Tree area, the Tudor-inspired home has 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and is listed at over 8,000-sq-feet. Surprisingly, it doesn't have any giant crosses on the property, but the wall art on the covered backyard patio instantly transports you back to medieval Europe:

I don't know about you, but I think every house deserves a 2-d plywood cutout of an old house nailed to their patio wall. It really gives it charm and character.

From the air, Stitt's new house looks like a modern-day castle with multiple chimneys to keep the house warm at night. The only thing it's missing is a moat!

If you're bored and want to play a game of lifestyles of the Oklahoma rich and famous (and powerful), you can view more photos and details about the property over at Realtor.com.
