Kevin Stitt ready to “Turnaround” Oklahoma after three years sending it backwards…

Yesterday afternoon, Oklahoma Governor Kevin "Ya Got Any Biscuits For Sale In There?!" Stitt gave his annual State of the State address in front of a packed house of lawmakers, judges, lobbyists, grifters, special interest groups, and other elites who want things rigged to their advantage at the Oklahoma Capitol.

For the most part, it was your standard Stitt speech. It lacked charisma, ignored reality, and served as more of a formal campaign rally that touched on all of his polling-approved conservative tropes, talking points and cliches. You know, things like cut taxes, the government is bad, privatize education, McGirt's destroying the state, Biden is the enemy, yada yada yada, blah blah blah.

While Stitter gave the speech, his esteemed communications trolls rolled out quotes from the fifth grade reading level address. Apparently oblivious to the fact that Stitt has been governor for a gaffe-filled three years and is responsible for many of the issues facing our state, they chose to go with the hashtag – #Turnaround2022 –  because nothing says "re-elect me" than "Hey, I'll fix all the mistakes that I made."

Here are some examples:

First of all, is he now J. Kevin Stitt? How presidential, huh?

Also, maybe I'm missing something here, but if Stitt really wanted to #turnaround the state, wouldn't he'd get out of the way and let someone else do the job? Since he's been Governor, about the only Top 10 we've made is for hydroxychloroquine rewards points and Covid deaths :

Here's another one:

Actually, when you're born in the United States, you automatically become a US citizen. Also, at last check, the government can take children away from their parents if they really want, and can also do things like draft 18-year-olds into an army to die in a foreign war once they turn 18. It makes you wonder if God, if he really existed, maybe did give kids to the Government.

Stitt's team did remove one #turnaround2020 tweet due to a typo. This one:

That's weird. I've met some cartel folks who work in the local marijuana trade and they seem to be doing pretty well for themselves. Plus, when you consider the success of the Epic Charter school con that Stitt ignored, and the fact that he goes to corrupt places like Azerbaijan for business trips, I'd suggest that organized crime and foreign bad actors have a plce in our state.

Anyway, if you're bored and/or borderline insane, you can watch the full address below or skim through the transcript here. Stay with The Lost Ogle. We'll keep you advised.
