Meet The Lost Ogle’s Cheerleader of the Week

michaelahaggerty.jpg

The picture above is of Michaela Hagerty. Michaela is a cheerleader at OSU and is the CNNSI.com “On Campus” Cheerleader of the Week. Here at The Lost Ogle, we’ve been wanting to get our own cheerleader friends, but we can’t afford any, so we’ve decided to adopt any local cheerleader that On Campus picks and just call her our own.

Saying all that, I wish they would have picked a different local cheerleader. Don’t get me wrong, Michaela is hot, but she’s hot in a very hobbit-like way. She’s kind of reminds me of the pretty little hobbit that Sam hooked up with at the end of The Return of the King. It’s like if you went on a date with Michaela you’d have to pick her up from the dorm riding a unicorn and when things got all serious you’d have to give her magical sorcerers ring or something. And according to our resident OSU alum and renaissance fair connoisseur Clark Matthews, you can purchase all these things at secret underground shops on Duck Street.

There are also some other things that worry me about Michaela. These worries come straight from her On Campus Q & A. It just seems…well…boring. Some examples:

7. My favorite sport is: Cheerleading … and power walking!

12. My friends would be surprised to know that I: Have never seen the movie Top Gun.

16. Next Risk I Want To Take: Travel outside the country on an internship.

20. Describe the worst date you ever went on: Going to the movies and falling asleep!

I think the whole “I’ve never seen Top Gun” answer is the worst answer. Come on, we are not expecting some “I picked up an aimless drifter from Perry and had sex with him behind the round barn in Arcadia” response, but at least tell us something surprising. Hell, I even went to Michaela’s MySpace Page (imagine that) to search for something interesting, and it was just as boring as the Q & A. Sure, there is a part where she writes “I love Sex”, but immediately proceded by that are the words “and the City.” There are also some pictures of her with friends and some strong looking frat boy, but they’re pretty lame compared to the other cheerleading pictures we’ve found on MySpace.

We like Michaela and everything, but hopefully next time on On Campus we’ll give us a more interesting cheerleader. You know, maybe one that likes to party more than sew. Or maybe one that likes to take “shock”ing photos (from Mr. Irrelevant) or something like the cheerleaders at Arizona State.

Powerwalking is her favorite sport? Weak. I bet my grandma could powerwalk Michaela’s ass into the ground. She’s cute, but probably has the personality of toast.

    criticizing an amateur athlete…

    for doing everything right!!!

I wonder what she’s sporting behind those pom pom’s?

Does her MySpace really mention popping zits as her third favorite interest? Am I reading this right? Cuz if I am, that’s just nasty.

A family friend “in the know”

She may speak of sewing and power walking and she may carry herself the way a real wowman with class and integrity might. But make these negative comments in her presence and may God have pity on you and your lack of common sense. This girl is as tough as they come! She’s a damn gladiator when she has to be!
