The following graphic is from a website called “Club OK.” It’s another genius creation of OPUBCO. Here’s what Club OK is:

ClubOK is a subscriber rewards program brought to you by The Oklahoman and NewsOK.com. It’s our way of saying thank you for your business. If you are a subscriber to The Oklahoman you’re already a member! Just print out the great offers you want, and present them when you make your next purchase!

I don’t want to spend too much time writing about how dumb ClubOK is, how “great” those offers are, or how I even stumbled upon the site. I just want to thank the OPUBCO marketing department for optimistically trying to make us think that young attractive people subscribe to the Oklahoman.

Seriously, find me a young attractive person who subscribes to the Oklahoman and I’ll find you a midget that doesn’t steal pretzels. We all know they do it. Clark Matthews has proof.

So glad they’re spending money on pointless marketing like this but laying off (force retiring) a ton of their employees. Makes total sense…

OPUBCO could try the proven gimmick of putting out a hard hitting, reliable newspaper. Isn’t that a fresh idea? Their Op-Ed section is one terrible right wing joke. How many letters to the editor about another die-hard Democrat who is going to vote for McCain can one Daily publish? The Daily Oklahoman knows.

Interesting the photo they have for “Sporting Events” was stolen from this website: http://www.bized.co.uk/current/leisure/2006_7/230407.htm

It is Emirates Stadium where Arsenal Football (Soccer) Club play in north London.

I guess they couldn’t take a UCO, OCU, or a RedHawks photo??

Hey HRNFAN, ever think that maybe both sites got that photo from a stock photo site? Hmmm, no couldn’t be… it has to be stolen because it’s The Oklahoman.
