Fun Fact: Sally Kern bought her house from “No Name Change” Judge Bill Graves

When I was a 11 or 12, my grandparents bought a new house near SW 74th and Penn. It wasn't technically a "new" house, but it was bigger and better than the old one they had, plus my grandpa put a basketball goal in the driveway, so it was kind of cool.

However, a few months after they moved in, I overheard my grandpa mention to someone that the previous owner killed himself in the garage. Ever since then, I've been pretty damn convinced that the house is cursed or haunted. This hunch was proven by the strange sounds I'd hear coming from the garage when I would house sit, or the fact that my friend Jed threw up in my grandpa's easy chair the one time I decided to throw a party while house sitting. One of the two.

The reason I bring all that up is that we may have discovered a house more cursed than the one my grandparent's still live in. It's located at 2713 N Sterling Avenue. Why's it cursed? Well, it's the current home of Sally Kern and the former home of "No Name Change" Judge Bill Graves. Apparently, Graves sold the home to Sally and her husband in 1996. First of all, is anyone else surprised that Sally Kern is using a company called "Need a Roof LLC" to get her house re-roofed? That name doesn't sound like a fly-by-night roofing company or anything. Maybe they give discounts to religious wackos. Also, isn't it kind of ironic that the County Assessor photo was updated on the 20th. That's either a major coincidence or, well, a minor one.

Anyway, as a warning to potential homebuyers who don't want to live in a house that was owned by a couple of extremist bigots, I'm going to list the address several more times. Doing that doesn't lack class or anything (it's publicly listed on Kern's website), it's just a public service to the people of Oklahoma. We like serving the public.
