Earlier today I mentioned that our friend Joel Decker was going to be your emcee for the “Worst of OKC.”
Thanks to what we’ll call a “communication breakdown” — instead of a “Joel was waiting to hear from Patrick” or “Patrick thought Joel knew what to do” — it looks like I’m going to be taking care of today’s category. This is good news for you, because I’m better looking than Joel, but bad news for me, because I’m stuck writing about anchormen instead of eating grapes from the hands of fashion models.
Anyway, check out the nominees and vote for the worst anchorman in Oklahoma City after the jump:
Hello all! Time again for another exciting edition of Monday Morning Tweets. To tell you the truth, I often have a hard time figuring out what to write in these opening paragraphs. This will not shock regular readers. So what I’ve decided to do is that each week I’m going to highlight a favorite Twitter account of mine. I’m always looking for new accounts to follow, so I figure I might as well pass along good ones that stumble across.
We’ll start it off by featuring @NeedADebitCard. I just started following them a few weeks ago. What they do is scour Twitter to find the geniuses who tweet pictures of their debit/credit cards for all the world to see. If you ever are feeling down and need to believe you are smarter than the rest of humanity and/or need proof that we are screwed as a species, I suggest checking this feed out.
This week’s tweets are after the jump!
Hello again, internet people! It’s Monday morning, which means it’s time for Monday Morning Tweets! This is ordinarily where I would write something witty or profound or both, but today it’s neither. Because I have to admit, I’ve got nothing. I’m just writing to take up space at this point. Let’s just go straight to the tweets, which are after the fold.
Hello internet! It’s Monday again, which means that it’s time for another fantastic edition of Monday Morning Tweets.
That tweet above from everyone’s favorite fun-loving-country-girl-ridin-on-a-tilt-a-whirl is actually from last December. Believe it or not, I’ve actually had it bookmarked since then because I’ve been meaning to write a post about the video in question. For whatever reason, I never got around to it, so I figure today is as good a day as any. As much as I hate to re-embarrass Joleen Chaney six months later, I gotta do it. It’s in the TLO Blogger Ethics Code. Sorry Joleen!
The story itself is certainly no laughing matter, but it’s hard not to get a chuckle out of Joleen’s completely emotionless “Oh baby oh baby” and uncomfortable repetition of the word “rear.” Enjoy! The rest of the tweets are after the jump.
Welcome back to Monday Morning Tweets! It’s our weekly roundup of selected tweets from Oklahoma celebrities. Last week, I suggested that someone should start an Al Eschbach parody account. And someone actually did it! Since that was so successful, we’re going to try another request: this week I would like someone to give me six and a half million dollars. I would also like BJ Wexler’s popcorn machine to get it’s own twitter account. I don’t think either of those things are too much to ask.
After the jump, we get to this week’s tweets.
Thanks! Your message has been sent!
