If you’re looking for a new book to read, or want to grab one that’s collecting dust on the bookshelf during this lonely and depressing pandemic, I’d highly recommend Sam Anderson’s brilliant Oklahoma City historical epic “Boom Town.” It’s one of the rare books I’ve started and actually finished. And no, I’m not just saying that because we’re mentioned in it twice.
Back in October, Sam stopped by our Bricktown Digital Media Studio, and after using Cardboard Jim to clear smoke from a fire in our building, set down with Marisa and I to talk about the book, take a deeper dive into some of its topics and people, and discuss what got left on the Random House cutting room floor.
While you’re either stuck at home, or out risking your life working, you can check out all past episodes of The Lost Ogle Show at all the main places like Apple, Spotify, I Heart, Stitcher, etc. You can buy Boom Town by clicking here.
