Ogle Madness XIV: Northeast Region, Upper Bracket

Welcome to Ogle Madness XIV!

On Sunday night, we unveiled this year's field of 64 Oklahoma people, places, and things. You can view the full bracket here!

We open voting this morning with matchups from the Northeast Region from the Tahlequah. They include:

(1) Abigail Ogle vs (16) Gabe Ikard's Chest Hair
(8) Kevin Stitt's Edmond Mansion vs (9) Kevin Stitt's Tulsa Mansion
(4) St. Vincent vs (13) Markwayne Mullin
(5) Joy Hofmeister vs (12) Ryan Walters

Polls are open for voting for the next 48 hours. We'll have matchups from the lower half of the region later this afternoon.

Game One:

false

(1) Abigail Ogle

The Queen of the Oklahoma City News Media, Abigail Ogle – daughter of Kevin – is an evening anchor for KOCO Channel 5, Lady of the Riverlands, and holder of the family sword – Late Breaking. Her hobbies include reading the Art of War, hunting big game and repairing old teleprompters.

vs.

(16) Gabe Ikard's Chest Hair

Frequently sneaking its way into Fox Sports Oklahoma telecasts, Gabe Ikard's chest hair is a thick, lush tropical forest of sweaty, bushy and very untamed follicles that no undershirt can handle.

Game 2

(8) Kevin Stitt's Edmond Mansion

Recently purchased for $2.75 million, the Tudor-inspired home has 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and is listed at over 8,000-sq-feet. Surprisingly, it doesn’t have any giant crosses on the property, but the wall art on the covered backyard patio instantly transports you back to medieval Europe.

vs.

(9) Kevin Stitt's Tulsa Mansion

Sold in December for $4.4-million, Stitt's old Tulsa mansion was a right-wing evangelical businessman's dream home. A  7-bedroom, 6-bath estate that sets on a 112-acre lot near HWY 75 in the Jenks area, it has 8,197 SF of living space and also comes equipped with horse stables, a gigantic workshop, and a “luxury” swimming pool.

Game 3

false

A critically acclaimed musician who grew up in Tulsa, St. Vincent proves that it's still possible for aspiring young creatives to escape Oklahoma and achieve national fame.

vs.

(13) Markwayne Mullin

A right-wing congressman who was born with a golden plumber's wrench in his mouth, MarcusWayne is now running for US Senate, where he aims to keep alive Oklahoma's long tradition of sending pyschos to the US Senate.

Game 4

(5) Joy Hofmeister

State School Superintendant who recently switched from Republican to Democrat and is now running for Governor of Oklahoma in 2022, which I'm sure she'll talk about on The Lost Ogle show later this year.

vs.

(12) Ryan Walters

Stitt's Education Bro, Ryan's a right-wing Manchurian Candidate created by the GOP to destroy and sabotage public education in Oklahoma, which explains why he's running for State School Superintendent.
